Enforcement GPS-Based Vehicle Tracking System |
The Advanced Generation Tracker (AGenT)
is a small, lightweight GPS-based tracking system designed
specifically for the law enforcement community. Current customers
include the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of
Investigations (FBI), U.S. Customs and numerous state and local law
enforcement agencies. The system was developed and funded in 1999
under the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Counter
Drug Technology Assessment Center (CTAC) Technology Transfer
Program. CTAC was in need of a robust yet covert vehicle tracking
device that was reliable, easy-to-use and easy-to-install. From
these requirements, CTI's systems engineering experience enabled CTI
to design and develop a turnkey solution for CTAC complete with
tracking devices, installation kit, application software, computers,
printers and on-site training. Key features are:

Wireless Communications:
Wireless options include cellular (1xRTT and GSM/GRPS),
Mobitex, CDPD, and short range RF.

Mapping:
Mapping for the entire USA and Canada either with a
stand-alone PC or for a web-enabled PDA device.

Size:
Tracking devices well below industry standard.

Rugged:
The device consists of a hardened aluminum, water resistant
enclosure, able to be installed anywhere on a vehicle.

On-board
Data Storage:
Storage for over 200,000 locations (in excess of three
months of heavy driving).

Power:
Built in motion sensor with extremely low power operation.
An optional battery pack is available.

Installation Device:
Hand-held test box used to assess the installation,
specifically antenna placement and power.
